Bria Wrede-Alba, CD
From an early age, I found myself driven toward caring for and nurturing women and children. What initially began as a passion, continues on today as my life work. I discovered, and fell in love with, doula work through interest in midwifery and found in it a place where I can offer women and their partners emotional and physical support during a time of incredible transformation. I received my doula certification through Birthingway College of Midwifery in 2002 and have been in practice ever since. I also volunteer with the Nursing Mothers Counsel of Oregon and am deeply committed to helping women breastfeed with success. Women remember their birth and early motherhood experiences forever. It is my goal to help them feel nurtured and supported in an un-biased way. Through education and support, families learn to feel powerful in the new and awesome job of parenthood. |
Angela Beach, LMT, Doula
As a massage therapist I found myself immediately being drawn to working with the pregnany community. I was seeing the benefits of massage throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum and soon found myself on the path to becoming a doula. I completed my training through DONA and co-founded Earth Mama Doulas along with Bria. I use my skills as a massage therapist to help make pregnancy, labor, and postpartum as manageable as possible. I love supporting women and families through this amazing rite of passage and my heart goes into bringing education and support to those who need it. I am currently continuing my education at Birthingway College of Midwifery to become a homebirth Midwife. I look forwad to helping you along your journey!
